Eduroam (education roaming) is a wireless roaming service offered by the Wireless Network Roaming Alliance of the Global Educational and Scientific Research Institutions. It covers educational and research institutions in more than 70 countries and regions around the world. A university or institution that wishes to join the Eduroam alliance may just open an Eduroam account, and then it can use the wireless roaming service in the global Eduroam alliance. An Eduroam user in the alliance may also use its original network account to connect to the alliance users’ local internets.
